Historical information

Christmas Card produced by Peter Duckett. Features photographs of the inspection of two new PCC trucks received from the St. Louis Car Co of the USA. The insert photograph names the men Left to Right as: P M Ireland (Works Manager), R J Lormer (Rolling Stock Engineer), J R Patterson (Works Manager, retired), R A Spencer (Secretary), H H Bell (Chairman), Peter Duckett, and L E Russell (Publicity Officer). Peter was the proprietor of the Model Dockyard in Swanston St. a well-known tramway enthusiast and photographer and sent Christmas cards to many people who he worked with.

Significance

Demonstrates a Christmas card produced by Peter Ducket featuring photos of the inspection at Preston Workshops of the newly delivered PCC trucks that were used under tram 980.
