About
The Elmore Progress Association established the museum in the Elmore Railway Station in 1991. The station, with a heritage over-lay and central location is the heart of our town.
The museum displays many of the registered 3000 items, including newspapers, photos, documents, maps and family histories all generously donated by local people and descendants of former residents of Elmore from the good old days and recent times.
Volunteers can give a guided tour and/or are glad to assist tracing family connections by researching the museum’s collection.
Young and old visitors will be amazed with a demonstration of a classic Diadem treadle platen press showcasing how documents were printed at the Elmore Standard Printing Works.
