About

Emmanuel College has a long history dating back to 1872 when the Sisters of Mercy opened the doors to a day and boarding school for young ladies at the Convent of Mercy, which was formally registered as St Ann’s College in 1907. The Christian Brothers had also established a school for boys in Warrnambool around the same time – St Joseph’s Christian Brothers College (generally referred to as CBC) was opened in 1902. These two schools amalgamated in 1991 to become Emmanuel College – the school that welcomes you today.
