Opening in 1860, Footscray Primary School is one of Victoria's oldest public schools.
Footscray Primary School is an international school implementing the Primary Years Program for years Foundation to Grade 6. In 2021 we celebrated our160th anniversary, and our heritage-listed buildings hold so much history and memories of the generations of students that have grown and thrived at the school. We are fortunate to have large green spaces and established trees for children to enjoy, which is a rarity for an inner suburban school. Our community is dedicated and engaged and lead many initiatives within the school and wider community.
Our collection
The school's collection is primarily made up of historic photographs and documents, including pupil registers, newspaper clippings, parent handbooks, newsletters and correspondence.
