About

In 1953, eighteen Freemasons including many members of local churches met in the Ringwood Masonic Hall to discuss the possibility of forming a new Lodge. In keeping with the background of those present and the strong sentiments expressed about alcohol consumption in the community, it was decided to form a “dry” (non-alcoholic) lodge called JONADAB.

JONADAB Lodge thrived in those early days, attracting a number of local identities who were then “movers and shakers” in the community; many of whom are still remembered as evidenced by local community landmarks and street names around Ringwood.
