About
We are a CFA volunteer fire brigade established in 1854 and will be celebrating our 170th anniversary in 2024. It is reported that the Brigade was the first volunteer fire brigade established in Australia. We were a volunteer Brigade until the introduction of the CFA in the late 1940's that saw career firefighters appointed to the station and remained as an integrated CFA brigade until the introduction of Fire Rescue Victoria on July 1st 2020. From that date we have remained as fully volunteer brigade working with the FRV career staff as required operating out of FRV Fire Station 63.
Our collection
Over the years the Brigade has accumulated a large selection of photographs, trophies, fire brigade memorabilia and publication/documents.
