The Gippsland Art Gallery is the premier art destination in the region. The Gallery is home to Gippsland’s most comprehensive collection of art, and hosts a diverse and dynamic range of exhibitions and visitor programs. Every year the Gallery hosts around twenty exhibitions of local, national and international significance, in addition to ongoing and evolving displays of the permanent collection. Situated at the Port of Sale, the Gallery overlooks stunning waterways and parkland. Housed in the Wellington Centre together with the Sale Library, Sale Visitor Centre and Dock 70 Cafe, there is always plenty to see and do!

Our collection

The Gallery's collection focuses on artworks depicting the land and environment of South Eastern Australia, it also contains international, historical, modern and contemporary art in many styles and mediums.
