About
Kerang Historical Society and Museum is dedicated to collecting local historical items for future generations. Our items are many and varied, including but not limited to farming, machinery, household, clothing and photography.
A dedicated contingent of our members enjoy restoring items whenever it is possible and appropriate.
We hold an annual heritage weekend on the first weekend in September where not only our museum items are on display, but various antique engines and displays are in operation.
Volunteer members are currently in the process of restoring the unique Ford rail motor Koondrook Tram which was acquired in 2023. Our aim for the future is to have this iconic piece of Kerang history housed in its own shed with various items of memorabilia on show.
