Our collection

The Manningham Art Collection was established in 1994, evolving from the art collection of the former City of Doncaster & Templestowe. The collection at this time consisted of a diverse array of locally significant artworks, predominantly landscapes and still-life paintings by relatively minor artists, that represented the cultural fabric of the region’s community. The work of the mid- to late-twentieth century collective Potters Cottage is well represented in the collection, and it is also home to the Walker Ceramic Award collection, representing graduate ceramics work from across Australia from 1977 to 1994.
