About

Nillumbik Historical Society located at Ellis Cottage in Diamond Creek was formed in 1973.

We hold a large collection of photographs of Diamond Creek and the surrounding district that, along with our document and artefact archive, tell the story from the very early days of settlement in the district up to the present day. It has been put together over 40 years and includes information about pioneering families, gold mining, agriculture, orchardists, schools and various community and church groups.
