About

The Victorian Parliament has played a major role in the formation of our state, with Parliament House being both a functional home and iconic symbol of the institution.

The Parliament’s collections include historical material dating from before separation of the Colony of Victoria, to artworks of 21st century politicians. The bulk of the collection is managed by the Parliamentary Library and includes the rare books collection, heritage collection (objects and archives relating to the history of the building and activities of Parliament), and the art collection.
