Phillip Island Golf Club was formed in 1949. The Club first started as a 9 hole course when the land for the front 9 was purchased on March 15th, 1949. Later, the land for the back 9 was purchased and remaining 9 holes were constructed to form the 18-hole layout that still remains in play today.
