RMIT Gallery has responsibility for the care of RMIT University's permanent collection. The collection reflects the broad mission of the University, provides a cultural resource for staff, students and the community and serves as an educational and research resource to the University. The collection comprises mainly Australian art, including Indigenous work. It contains paintings, prints, drawing and sculpture. The Gallery Registrar is responsible for the maintenance of the collection. The majority of the collection is placed throughout the campus' of RMIT University.
