RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) is an elected student body run by students for students. At the RMIT Bundoora campus we have an archive store with artifacts dating back to the 1960s, including a large 'activities' archives from the bands our activities department has hosted over the years.
The RUSU Archive (1945)
The RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) archive is a collection of documents and artefacts from the Student Unions and Student Representative Councils of the various entities that have gone on to form RMIT University. These include:
• Working Men’s College Student Representative Council
• Phillip Institute of Technology Student Union (including the Preston Institute of Technology and the State College of Victoria at Coburg Student Union)
• RMIT Northern Student Union
as well as various iterations of the RMIT (University) Student Union. The documents and artefacts date from the 1940s through to the present day, and include meeting minutes and agendas, student magazines, photos, t-shirts, and posters.
