A 'crown' etched on the left of the fulcrum and 'sovereign' and 'warranted' etched in the first circle and 'sovereign' '1/2' ( half) on the second circle. Box has writing " Improved sovereign balance\To weign and gauge soveriegns and half sovereigns\Being so exact that no conterfeit can possibly go through the gauge\of sufficient weight to turn the balance.
