The collection documents the history of teaching and research in engineering and information technology at the University of Melbourne from 1861 to the present, demonstrating the contributions of the University to technological, economic and social development.

Our collection

Engineering and Information Technology Cultural Collection (2020)

In September 2020, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Executive agreed to combine the existing cultural collections in the Faculty into a single collection – the Engineering and Information Technology Cultural Collection.

This new collection combines and extends the previous separate collections:

• A.G.M. Michell Engineering Collection

• Computing and Information Systems Heritage Collection

• Electrical Engineering Education Collection

• Surveying and Geomatic Engineering Collection
