The Vietnamese Museum’s vision aims towards "honouring the journey of freedom and the contributions of the Vietnamese community to the fabric of Australia.
Our Mission
The Museum is a place for the Vietnamese Community to:
Leave a legacy of the Vietnamese refugee stories and history so that the new generations can honour their past and thus form the foundation for their identity.
Record, exhibit, educate through living artefacts, by preservation and interpretation, and inspire all those that come after.
Inspire people by learning about the incredible stories of the Vietnamese boat people, to persevere through adversity, seize their opportunities and remain resilient in the toughest of times.
Be a beacon for the Vietnamese Community of Australia and its broader non-Vietnamese community.
