About

Woodlands Homestead is a unique and treasured part of Victoria's heritage. Established in 1843, it is a rare example of a large pre-constructed timber kit house brought from Britain. The homestead is also significant as the home of the pioneering Greene family and their association with the key figures in the history of the colony of Port Phillip. The homestead's later owners were prominent in horse-racing, pastoral and social circles. Woodlands is the home of Living Legends the International Home of Rest for Champion Horses.
