About

Wooragee Landcare is a group formed by local landholders, which aims to motivate and support landholders within the catchment to engage in sustainable land management practices and retain and/or improve the management of the natural environment and its resources for future generations.

Since its formation in 1989, Wooragee Landcare has been involved in many activities including information sessions, site visits and workshops. Consultation and liaison between landholders and government and council agencies has been an essential part of the group’s work to maintain constant vigilance in the eradication of pest plants and animals from the land, and in the promotion of revegetation projects and the protection of remaining remnants of natural vegetation.
