Sixteen page, A4, full colour, printed on gloss paper, centre stapled pamphlet, titled "Light Rail Transit System - Inner Area North - South Link"", describing the proposal for the conversion of the St Kilda and Port Melbourne rail lines to light rail. Undated, Appears to be earlier than May 1987 (See Reg Item 457). Has a foreword by the Minister, Tom Roper, explains the system, shows high platform stops using the Hanover example, development of the project, journey times, costs and saving and two page map of the system, showing a possible extension to Glenhuntly Road. Has the Met contact and logo on the rear. Covers have a perspective view at Port Melbourne Station Pier. The Teenager, His Family and His Peers was a paper presented to the 1968 Federal Conference of the Legacy Clubs of Australia by Legatee John Hall of Melbourne Legacy (held in Ballarat from 7th to 10th November 1968). By resolution of the Conference it was printed by Legacy Co-ordinating Council for distribution upon their request to Legacy Clubs. It was stored with another paper presented at the 1968 Conference 'The Fundamentals of Legacy' which had the notation H51 in blue pen to show that it was part of the archive project that was trying to capture the history of Legacy. An example of the type of subject matter that Legatees shared at annual conferences. The link to Warrnambool, with this publication is the R.A. Philp stamp on the front cover. R. A. Philp was a bookseller who operated his business in Timor St opposite the Post Office.Soft card, light brown cover, with black text. Inside black rectangular border is the title “John L. Booklet - Music Score, The 'M.N.' Ships Get Through, 1942
A song composition by Helen Ellis, of Kew, first known to have been performed in 1942 at the BBC for the 'Shipmates Ashore Programme it was then published 1943. A copy of this song and one other composition the composer Helen Ellis is held by the National Library of Australia. Promotional text also indicates that the song was performed by the notable Australian singer Peter Dawson. The song "The M.N. ships get through" carries an important acknowledgement of the oft forgotten vital role of the Merchant Navy as carrier of goods and supplies, and especially so in wartime. The publication is of special significance to the MTSV as an example of the many skilled and creative women who have supported the Missions to seafarers.Commercially printed single fold music score for a 2 verse song and chorus. Front cover with blue band at top and lower edge features the Merchant Navy insignia at top left with depiction in half tone blue of a Merchant ship convoy and at right a sketched depiction of head and shoulders of a Merchant Navy officer with binoculars in hand. Music score and full text printed on p.2 and 3. The back cover features text of chorus and a handwritten notation in blue ink with reference to performance of the song on a BBC programme, 'Shipmates Ashore'.Back cover-handwritten notation in blue ink: "Sung by Raymond ?(indecipherable) in the B.B.C.
