This residence named 'Mourilyan' was built in 1892 beside Harbeck's Store, Lakes Entrance, as a family residence. It was altered and extended in 1927. In 1968 it was relocated to present site in Williams Road. The entrance steps and stonework were constructed by Rev A E Clark. Internal renovations during 1990's. House provided by the community for Miss Hammarstrom and family after Mr Hammerstrom, a fisherman, was lost at sea in 1926. The Age newspaper collected 400 pounds in an appeal to support the family.
