Also a travellers view of Ballarat trams.Set of three (two copies of each except the First Aid one), newspaper clippings from the Geelong Advertiser, 28/10/1952 cut out and pasted onto blue paper, with the Newspaper Name and date type on each piece. Items were pinned together with a typed memo on top - from the Manager of the Geelong Branch to Engineer and Manger Ballarat, dated 28/10/1952, sending the cuttings for information. Has SEC date stamp of 29 Oct. 1952 - see inscriptions. News items were: "Tramway Talks on Thursday" - noting tramway union to meet with SEC Geelong Manager Mr. T.A Farr on Thursday to submit alternative proposals, mainly in regards to new roster affect East Geelong, Geelong West, Eastern Park and Chilwell routes. New roster schedule to come in on 1 November. "Transport Services" - letter to the editor, signed "Reasonable Service" about the writers trip to Ballarat on one of the new diesel rail motor, poor track and the higher measure of patronage on Ballarat's tram and that one of the seats have been removed for prams. Prepared originally in about 1988, placed on sale at the depot in 1989. The 2014 edition has a coloured, glossy cover including photographs. The pages have been redone using the original drawings by David Frost, and now includes information and history of the trams. Has drawings of California Combination tramcars, Toastrack trams, Bogie trams, One-man trams, a maze drawing for the horse tram, a join the dots drawing, decode this message, a mathematical problem, and a tram spotting guide. Copies on sale printed by Desktop Dynamics, Geelong. Photo shows four people standing by the front of a SEC bogie tram, number not shown, possibly 18, with an AETA special tour sign in the window. Negative No. 239 Two signs on the front panel, top reads "BENDIGO TRAMWAYS 1903-1953", the second a painted picture of a small digging for a gold mine with a miner and windlass, with "1903" and "1953" on either side. Two flags on either side of the panel as well. Copy negative scanned at high res 18/5/2020 and image replaced.
