Gives details of the itinerary for the trip using a 280HP Rail car trip with the forward portion via North Geelong. Duplicated using the Gestetner process. Note the knowledge of the time, with horse tram bodies being reused to form some of the early ESCo. trams. Second copy from donation of the Tom Murray Estate added 25-11-2016 and 3rd copy from Keith Kings papers added 19-3-2017. It demonstrates the civic pride of Ballarat citizens and is an important parkland for the local community. Printed by Victorian Railways and is one of a number of 'framed pictures, particularly photographs of scenery, which have always been a feature of the Chalet.' (Pg 83. Historica, 2011) This map has been a permanent fixture situated in the hallway alongside the ballroom leading to the ski hire area since the 1950's and most likely earlier. Yields information in the form of a letter from an active tram enthusiast at the time recommending that part of the Ballarat system be retained for heritage tramway operation by the TMSV.Two typed A4 size sheets, photocopied, undated, early 1971 written by Dave Macartney of Albert Park to a number of people recommending that the TMSV establish a tramway museum in Ballarat around the shores of Lake Wendouree.
