Has strong association with the event of laying the track across Wendouree Parade during Nov. 1975, an essential task to enable the re-opening of the tramway by the BTPS.Bromide of a black and white photograph of rails being laid to cross Wendouree Parade to access the new BTPS depot access track. Specification document comprising printed cover, eight typewritten pages (black carbon copy) and two photo pages of a J.G. Brill Co. of Philadelphia PA, Birney Safety Car. Specification No. 100, revised 1/10/1919. On the printed cover, which has three holes for a clip on the left hand side, printed with the Birney Safety Car trade mark, the names of the J. G. Brill associated companies (American Car Company of St. Louis, G. C. Kuhlman Car Co. of Cleveland Ohio, and Wason Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Massachusetts). On the inside of the front cover and on the outer back cover is the Brill logo. On the inside of the back cover is a floor / seating plan of the Birney Safety Car, giving overall dimensions, location of equipment etc. Item secured with one brass clip in the top left hand corner. The eight typed pages details the specification of the construction of the tramcar, equipment details etc for a single truck, double end Birney Safety (tram) car. Gives dimensions of the tramcar, materials, construction methods, finishes, equipment, glass, etc. Also details additional items that could be ordered with the tramcar. Set of three colour photographs of possibly the former stables at the rear of the former Canberra Hotel, corner Macarthur St and Creswick Road. Was known in the horse tram days as the Vine Hotel. Attached to the worksheet notes is an item prepared by Alan Bradley for the Jan. 2003 issue of Fares Please! The first paragraph notes the visit to the premises, now a Bed & Breakfast known as "A Special Occasion". Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Book of 10 All Day Tickets, numbered A001001 to A001010 printed for the Ballarat Vintage Tramway, contained within an orange colour front cardboard (front cover) and brown cardboard back cover sheet, with a single staple on the left hand side. On the front cover is stamped the first number of the ticket block. Each ticket is from a light yellow card stock, printed with green ink showing the month of issue on the sides and date of issue (1 to 31) on the top or bottom. Each ticket is numbered and has a perforated left edge to enable it to be torn from the book. Ticket punched by the conductor to shown the month and date of issue. On all tickets, just to the left of the staple has been printed with the Printers name and phone number. On the cover, the same information has been impressed on the cover as well, but no ink. Yields information about one of the first two maximum traction bogie trams in Ballarat in October 1945 after it had been repainted for use in Ballarat by the SEC and the Lake / depot area at the time.Black and white photograph of SEC No. 15 in Wendouree Parade just to the south of St. Aidans Drive. Photo taken looking south with the trolley pole to the camera in the raised position. Appears to be a new trolley rope. Tram has destination of "Gardens via Drummond Nth".
