The Legacy run speaking contest was held from 1988 to 2021 and encouraged young secondary school students to speak on the topics of leadership, comradeship, citizenship etc. The State Final was held in the ABC IWAKI Auditorium on 2 November 2006. A bronze bust was erected in Morwell to honour Legacy Founder Sir Stanley Savige. It was unveiled on 31 August 2006 and Legatee Bill Rogers was invited to perform the unveiling. The article from the local newspaper says that "Legacy founder Sir Stanley Savige was finally immortalised in his birthplace, Morwell" with the unveiling of the bronze bust. The map is an early one of the township of Ballan showing street names and land owners.The map is significant in that it lists the owners of the house blocks within the township.A map showing the township and surrounding area of Ballan in 1856. The Vintage Port Film Society was a member of the Federation of Victorian Film Societies. Beginning in 1990, it met for 16 years until it closed in November 2006. Monthly screenings took place at the home of Frank & Serena STEUART in Derham Street. This is the address he on the occasion. In 1957 a few years after Stan Savige died Legacy was looking after 25,200 widows and 18,900 children. In 2006 Legacy was looking after 126,000 widows and and 1,900 children and disabled dependants nationally. In Victoria it was 24,000 widows and 400 children. This book was produced as part of the centenary celebrations in 2006. In 2006 Orbost Golf Club celebrated its’ Centenary having originally been formed as the Snowy River Golf Club and played on private land near the banks of the Snowy River just to the south of town. In the 1930’s the Golf Club relocated to its present site and was renamed Orbost Golf Club. The land was shared by the Show grounds and Racing Club. Orbost Golf Club later acquired the land outright to provide a permanent home for golfers in Orbost and surrounding district.This is a local history book.A 38 pp spiral bound book titled Orbost Golf Club Centenary Booklet 1906-2006 Centenary Celebrations 9/12 2006.
