Report - six sheets, were paper clipped together, three foolscap (marked 4370A) and two quarto sheets (marked 4370C) titled "Lives of North Melbourne City Section ropes during 1917-18", regarding a claim made through Dalgety and Company (3/1/19 and 6/1/1919) for damage on a section of rope that was on a ship that was sunk by enemy action. Has a three page report on the cable life and insurance claim made by the Tramway Board in 1918, looking at the life of the cable compared to previous ropes. Quite a detailed study made and costs incurred. Many towns/cities presented medallions to their citizens for service during WW1. These medallions were not necessarily presented for military service. The inscription says it was presented to D. Colquhuon for service in World War 1 by residents of of Nth Carrum. The link to Legacy is not known though presumably D Colquhuon was a Legatee.An example that medallions were a means of honouring local citizens for their work during WW1. Many civilians made a huge, unpaid contibution to the war effort. Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (VIOSH) Australia is the Asia-Pacific centre for teaching and research in occupational health and safety (OHS) and is known as one of Australia's leaders in the field. VIOSH has a global reputation for its innovative approach within the field of OHS management. VIOSH had its first intake of students in 1979. At that time the Institution was known as the Ballarat College of Advanced Education. In 1990 it became known as Ballarat University College, then in 1994 as University of Ballarat. Lots of the original 1920s subdivision remained south of Nyora Road and a number of these lots were utilized for the Eltham Christian School, which was established by the Eltham Christian Church in 1981. The school operated on this site until 2000. The premises were owned by the Nillumbik Community Church who were in operation till November 2010 when the Eltham Baptist Church commenced a lease arrangement until the site was purchased by them in April 2012. The building is constructed of brick and timber with a balcony on two sides that looks over an expanse of grass.
