Item used to simulate or play being a tram conductor, about 15 tickets from each block have been used or removed. Received with a "conductors" badge and cardboard cut out coins. See items 8604 and 8605. Wording and parts of the layout on the ticket typical of a Melbourne tram ticket. Manufacturer not known or the date, possibly mid 1950's based on the cardboard coins. The donor, who lived in Melbourne, recalls that they were part of an outfit which consisted of these items, a conductors cap and bag, similar to a Melbourne conductor's bag. Demonstrates a toy or item used by children to simulate or play being a tram conductor. Heavy cardboard folded to form a tram ticket wallet containing four blocks of tickets, individually numbered. The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society "The Ulysses" booklet is a record of the incorporation of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society which took place on 5 June 1944. The society became incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of 1938. The number in the register is 23 109. All 27 pages have been scanned. The 1944 IPS Memorandum and Articles of Association was based on the English translation of the IPS founding constitution (1916). The Certificate of Incorporation was an important step in the progress and establishment of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society as it was then recognised as a legal entity.
