Program of visit to Victoria in 1920 by Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David, the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII). The visit was to officially thank Australia for the support to Great Britain during World War I and to strengthen the links between Australia and the Empire. The program contains the general itinerary of the visit to Australia, from 26 May - 19 August, and the detailed itinerary of the visit to Victoria on 26 May - 7 June. Originally named 'McInnes' after a local selector, this station opened during construction of the Crowes railway on 1 May 1911. The name was altered to Weeaproinah, the second station of that name, on 9 December 1912, after the parish in which the station was situated. (The original 'Weeaproinah' on the railway became earlier 'Dinmont' in the Olangolah Parish.) The station comprised a passenger shelter and a loop siding with a ramped platform for a sheep and pig race. A departmental residence was built for a track repairer based at the station, but no station or caretaker staff were employed there. The residence was burnt down during the 1919 bushfire but it was replaced and remained in use as a departmental residence until 1930. Weeaproinah became an unattended crossing station in December 1927 under the Train Section Order system.B/W. Weeaproinah mallee shed. Hand-written minutes of the East Ringwood Progress Association from 16 November 1925 until 16 June 1930, then continued from 20 May 1946 until 29 November 1948. An additional scan repeats pages 1-3, due to misalignment, and adds names and addresses, for insertion after page 86. Some of 1925-1930 members had surnames Howship, Kelley, Klix, Wedge, Skerritt, Walmsley, Saywell, Watson, Herbert, Neal, Vogel, Hodgkins, etc. Includes records of the formation of the East Ringwood Football Club, and many other local matters. Names for the 1946-48 period were Maggs, Meyland, Rawson, Wedge, Codd, Burke, Hall, Purser, Gowland, Guest, etc. Meetings took place at the Klix's residence then the East Ringwood Pavilion at the Reserve

Keith Welch was a local builderBiography in yellow covered spiral binder containing a short biography of Keith Welch (26-12-1920 - 16-7-1968) who built and lived in the house at 23, Campbell Street, Ringwood East. Complied by his widow Gloria Welch in 2008. Contains many family photos and associated family events. The house was sold by Richard Carter in 2013.

The large plaster Illisos depicted in the back of this image is still held by Federation University Australia. The Ballarat Technical Art School (No. 10) was part of the Ballarat School of Mines and was established in 1907. After conducting classes in various locations around Ballarat a custom built art school was erected on the site of the former Ballarat Circuit Court House, previously used as the initial building of the Ballarat School of Mines. Examples of drawings undertaken by students, as well as some plaster castes are held in the University of Ballarat Historical Collection. The Ballarat Technical art School is the oldest continuous Tertiary Art School in Australia. Sir Alexander Peacock opened the new Ballarat Technical Art School building in July 1915. It cost 10,000 pounds and was constructed by the Public Works Department from plans drawn by the then Art School Principal, Herbert H. Smith. The building contractors were Messrs Gower and Eddards. According to the SMB Annual Report of 1914 'the internal upholstering and fittings have all been carried out in Australian timbers, with Queensland maple largely used throughout.' The building could be described as federation-art deco in style. It features sandstone insertion with sandstone string coursing. The base of the building is rusticated sandstone. The building is functional in design with large metal windows in the south wall to ensure good light into the studios. The northern wall has standard double hung windows. The interior of the building features a carved wooden staircase and cast iron ceiling vents. The rear drawing studios could be made into one large studio by opening panelled timber doors. This opening features classical plaster pilasters with a pediment above. Deep Lead Church (Methodist) A set of six photos taken between 1927 and 1930. The site where this weather board church was situated is directly opposite the brick Deep Lead school on the Western Highway. The sugar gums still remain. At previous times other denominations used the building. 113 Methodist Weatherboard church, Deep Lead with people in the doorway. Out the front is a car parked in front of a picket fence. Printed on back of photo "These photographs were taken between 1927 & 1930. At this time Methodist Church services were conducted there; Sunday school was also held there until about 1936.
