The Victorian Mounted Rifles museum was first established at Buna Barracks Albury in 1986. Denis Gibbons (1937 – 2011) Trained with the Australian Army, before travelling to Vietnam in January 1966, Denis stayed with the 1st Australian Task Force in Nui Dat working as a photographer. For almost five years Gibbons toured with nine Australian infantry battalions, posting compelling war images from within many combat zones before being flown out in late November 1970 after sustaining injuries. The images held within the National Vietnam Veterans Museum make up the Gibbons Collection. Although opened by the Church of England in 1857, Huntly was not recognised as beginning until 1860 when it began to receive government funding. In 1862 it became known as a Common School. In the 1870's it was partly destroyed in a wind storm and a brick building was built to replace it. It became a State School between 1873 and 1878 and was renamed Huntly Primary School in 1970.Newspaper article dated Wednesday June 8, 1960, (Bendigo Advertiser). Winnie Sargood was one of the middle children of the large Sargood family, and grew up at Rippon Lea.[Sterling silver] cylindrical lidded transparent glass crystal hair tidy.
