Topics include : The story of the taxi cab, Your library, Regional library development, Land reclamation, Traffic control, A point about parking, Social (visit to Fortuna by Major General Brown Director of Ordnance survey, British Army), The historical society. Undated, but next to other notes marked 1951. b) a donation letter headed 'The Mayor Speaks' states: Herein are the texts of addresses given by the Mayor Cr N.J Oliver over Radio Station 3BO, together with other talks given by him. They were given to Alex H Stone by Mr Oliver on his leaving Bendigo. Cream, brown & gold certificate awarded to Miss Mary Foster for First Prize in the Eaglehawk Branch of the Australian Natives Association Musical and Elocutionary Competitions 1908 Violin Solo Open. Certificate signed by Robert Murdoch, President and Frank Walker, Secretary. Certificate has Australian Coat of Arms at the top. Hard cover Golden Square Patriotic League Annual Report and Minute Book. Lydia Pethard Hon. Sec. 1918 - 1942. Hard cover paper pages containing minutes of meetings of the Golden Square Patriotic League. This organisation affiliated with the Australian Comforts Fund in 1919 as the Golden Square Branch. Lydia Pethard was secretary of the branch. The ACF wound up in August 1920 and the local branch dispensed of its assets on 18 August 1920. In June 1940 Mrs Lydia Chancellor (nee Pethard) recommended the minutes of the ACF Golden Square.
