Water scheme trust was created by the Governor in Council, 23/1/1963 and consisted of 3 Councilors of the Axedale Riding of the Shire of Strathfieldsaye and 3 members appointed by the Minister of Water Supply. The waterworks opened in April 1964Exercise book from the Axedale Waterworks Trust containing list of names and amounts of money due. Several receipts are either stapled to the book or loose inside issued to the trust by various businesses: Modern supplies, D. Smyth and son, Hardware Co. of Australia, Country Roads Bendigo J.G. Hibberd. Several other loose handwritten pieces of paper are inside, mostly recording payments or money dues also, two water reading slips, a notice of extraordinary meeting and an estimated receipts and expenditure for the year ending 31st December 1966. A newspaper article with photo of Mr. John Giovanetti, secretary of Bendigo Sewerage Authority is also included. The book covers the years from 1963 to 1966. White plastic Poster, Information Board with the following information: Noack, Errol Wayne (Private, b.1945 - d.1966) Private Noack was the first Australian National Serviceman killed in Vietnam. He was born on 28 March 1945 in North Adelaide, an only child. As an adult, Noack worked as a tuna fisherman. He was a committed Lutheran. Noack was among the first intake of national servicemen to be enlisted on 30 June 1965. He did not welcome being called up, but 'decided to make the most of it'. Noack was posted as a rifleman to the newly raised 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR) based at holsworthy, New South Wales. This plaque commemorates the opening of the Wodonga Municipal Saleyards, named the W. G. Page Saleyards, in 1980. The last sales at this facility took place in February 2015 before being replaced by the privately-run Barnawartha North's Northern Victoria Livestock Exchange. William George Page was Shire and City Engineer in Wodonga from 1965 until 1989. When he arrived the Shire of Wodonga had a population of 17,000 people. In 1966 Wodonga was selected as a city for special growth assistance. In 1972 Bill Page presented a new Town Plan to the Wodonga Council. Over the ensuing years he dedicated himself to bring this plan to fruition. He often had to argue and campaign with the Albury-Wodonga Corporation to push for the interests of development in Wodonga. This included winning a planning appeal to allow the saleyards to be relocated to Bandiana on the outskirts of Wodonga. Bill Page retired on health grounds in July 1989. The Council honoured him with a farewell dinner and renamed the saleyards at Bandiana the W.G. Page Saleyards in his honour.The Mayor , Cr Valentina Gillard, said "Every development in Wodonga in the past 24 years has a bit of Bill Page in it". Dorothy Rogers wrote two major books on Kew's history: Lovely Old Homes of Kew (1961) and A History of Kew (1973). In addition to her published works, she was a regular contributor on issues of local history to suburban newspapers. Her archives are held in the collections of the State Library of Victoria and Kew Historical Society. This album contains photographs from a variety of sources in Scotland, England, and Australia. The date range of the photographers ranges from around 1847 to 1900. There are photos of families and individuals and some are obviously linked. This album has historic and social significance in that it appears to be a collection of family photographs which link areas of Scotland with the coming of early settlers to Australia and in some photos obviously to Warrnambool. They provide an overview of fashion and styles pertaining to the 1870’s through to around 1900’s and hence it has interpretive value.Brown leather bound hard cover with raised geometric design on the front. HMAS Perth (D29), a modified Leander-class light cruiser. Commissioned into the Royal Navy as HMS Amphion in 1936, she was sold to the RAN three years later. The ship served until 1 March 1942, when she was sunk during the Battle of Sunda Strait. HMAS Perth (D 38), the lead ship of the Perth-class guided missile destroyers. Built as a Charles F. Adams-class destroyer derivative for the RAN and commissioned in 1965, the ship served until decommissioning in 1999. She was sunk as a dive wreck off the coast of Albany, Western Australia, in 2001. This portrait could be of Captain Daniel McCallum. In the Williamstown Chronicle dating back Saturday 16 March 1895 we could read: " An interesting ceremony will be performed at the Sailor's Rest next Thursday 21st. inst., when a large photo of the late Captain D. McCallum (which has been presented to the Rest) will be unveiled, in the presence, it is expected, of several of those who assisted Captain McCallum in his good, work amongst the sailors, and others who were closely connected with the Mr Ronald Reid a will supply the musical part of the pogramme." Captain McCallum was secretary of the Williamstown Sailors' Rest, located in Ann Street, and had himself saved the rest paying some of its debt. He died in 1887.Many portraits of supporters were unveiled in the several buildings of the Mission. The core memory of this calculator was a #D metal box. The pin must have been attached to a card reader or keyboard to enter the programme. According to Sharp’s serial numbering scheme, which encodes the month and year of manufacture of their electronic calculators at least through the mid-1970’s, this calculator was manufactured in September 1969. The technology used in the Memorizer 30/Memorizer 60 was very typical of that of the late 1960s, with small-scale integrated circuits containing a few gates or flip-flops, and a magnetic core memory array for storing the program steps that the user keyed in using the calculator attached to the device. The Model CSA-12, called the "Memorizer 60", was an accessory that could be connected to a Sharp Compet 22 or Compet 32 electronic calculator to allow these machines to be "learn mode" programmed. Programs were "learned" from the keyboard of the calculator, and stored within a core memory array in the Memorizer 60. Programs of up to 60 steps could be stored.
