Notebook, green cloth covered, with end papers, five sections ruled sheets sewn fitted with a black cotton tape strap. On side of notebook, in the same cloth, a holder for a short pencil has been provided. On inside end paper, has a sticker of the "The Commercial Notebook", discount table. In pencil is "J.H. Prisk / 516 Drummond / Ballarat" On first pages inside are details of change float, tickets sold, type , returns commencing "Monday 15/12" (1913) through to March 10 (1914), then many pages with monetary calculations, then sketches of tramcar lighting circuits, noes on cabling, roses, switches, current densities, and conduits lengths etc. Last page in notebook has notes re times of cards ex Sheds and Sebastopol and working hours on various runs. Shows the services and how the various run or crew tables were arranged in relation to the overall timetable.Handwritten sheet on graph paper for Weekdays and Saturdays Rosters for the arrangement on Mt Pleasant - Gardens, Victoria St - Gardens and Lydiard St Nth - Sebastopol routes. Gives the various run numbers, sign on location, trip take times, notes on what to do with trams, sign off times, interface with other runs. Demonstrates timetable making.Twenty Eight page, white paper, saddle stapled booklet, titled "Electricity Supply Department - Ballarat Tramways - Official Time Table January 1939", numbered TYE 1-48-5918. Gives notes on the through routing of the tram service, how the clock style format works and that it operates from the Tramway Centre. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Pages 24 and 25 detail the fares and charges, page 26 - luggage, page 27 - section destinations for the various routes and page 28, notes recent reductions in electricity charges. Two copies held. Four page foolscap stencil duplicated instruction sheet titled "Notes for Motormen re New Weekly Tickets.", pinned in the top left hand corner. Details the new style of ESCo weekly tickets to be used in Ballarat from Monday 7/2/1927, where two types of tickets were used - Morning and Evening Tickets and Lunch Hour Tickets. Gives instructions on their use, advantages, colours, fraud protection, schedule of timing when tickets issued against the various run numbers on page 3. Page four, titled "Instructions for Conductors re New Weekly Return Tickets and Weekly Tickets" gives instructions re the issuing of 4d return tickets, a new 3d return ticket and how the colours varied with each day. Notes when the tickets will be collected by the clerk for runs 13 and 14. See Reg. Demonstrates aspects of the Ballarat Tramways management system of Motorman's' rosters interfacing during the last full period of operation of the tramway. Shows the services and how the various run or crew tables were arranged in relation to the overall timetable. Photo copy on heat sensitive paper of a handwritten sheet on graph paper for the arrangement of the Weekdays, Saturday and Sunday Rosters on the various Ballarat routes. Gives the various run numbers, sign on location, trip take times, notes on what to do with trams, sign off times, interface with other runs. Shows the full or basic 20 min service during the day and 30 mins at night. Show how the various run or crew tables were arranged to provide the service overall.
