Gives times for the departure from the City and the terminus for the Eaglehawk, Quarry Hill, Golden Square and North Bendigo routes. Page 1 for Monday to Friday, page 2 for Saturday and on the bottom of page 2, details of Sunday services commencing from 2pm, until about 10.30pm. May have been the last timetable issued for Bendigo. Shows the nature of the work and set up.Black and White photograph, of the SEC Ballarat depot wheel grinder being used to grind the wheels of a single truck tramcar. Shows a pit man/machinist using the equipment with the drive belts and wheels moving. The machinist is dressed in heavy clothing. Shows the detail of the operation. Tramway - summarises the current tramways operating, cable system and operational stats, the current tramway systems, other cities, relative merits, future tramways for Melbourne, operational speeds, use of cable conduits for electric traction, conversion, municipal control , control of the tramways by the railways, a general scheme, formation of a larger tramway trust and its management, purchase of the cable tramways and recommendations. Has an introduction, a preface that gives a brief history of the tramway system in Melbourne, 20 buildings and points on interest in Melbourne and how to get there, with sketches by Clive Fink, a list of electrified routes and a cable routes at the time with details of terminals and points of interest along the route.
