It has been claimed that Vogt printed many of Bulmer's negatives without acknowledgement when he purchased his studio. General store, grocery and bakery were managed by William Barke, brother John managing the clothing and fancy goods. Store was built in 1893, opposite the Post Office on Esplanade. Photo shows a large weatherboard building, hipped iron roof, imitation gables and timber frieze decorate the veranda roof.
