Else Oertel was a German internee in Camp 3A from 1940-1945. The brooch was made for her by another internee in the camp. This silver daisy brooch is an example of the ingenuity of the internees in making use of anything at hand & repurposing it for much more than originally intended. Else-Lore Oertel, with her mother, was a German internee in Camp 3A as a child, from 1940-1945. The pendant was made for her & inscribed with her initials.Hand carved wooden heart pendant for use as jewellery. Sewn by Internee Emma Aberle in Camp 3b from cloth woven in the camp by Franz Laumen, Krefeld, Germany, an internee from England.Ladies Frock - tartan Part Pleated Frock with buttons. Hand sewn with collar, short sleeves, buttoned, slightly pleated skirt. Woven clothe is a Tartan Pattern, mainly green/red.ww 2 camp 3

The painting was bought from Cesare Vagarini by Herr Wennagel for "Weihnachten" 1941 (Christmas) for his wife Johanna (Hanno) Wennagel. It was their first Christmas in the Camp. Herr Wennagel made many of the frames for Vagarini's paintings.A large Eucalyptus Tree surrounded by four huts - one on the left, three to the right. Green grass between the huts.
