The Girl Guides had a stone hut taken from the site on a piece of land donated by the Keck family. It was situated beside the race between Keck's nursery and One Tree Hill. The site was named Somers Hill after Lady Somers, the chief commissioner of the Girl Guides, and the wife of the Governor of Victoria. Vandals completely destroyed the building in the 70s.
