Safety Development Fund Final Report, January 2007. This was conducted by the University of Ballarat and the Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries, Victoria. This was for the prevention of falls and manual handling injuries in the industries. Part of the Safety Development Fund Project was funded by Worksafe Victoria and supported by the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union and the Transport Workers Union. The authors of the Report are Steve Cowley and Susan Leggett of The University of Ballarat. The sulphur crested cockatoo (scientific name Cacatua galerita) is a large white parrot with dark grey-black bill, a distinctive sulphur-yellow crest and a yellow wash on the underside of the wings. Sexes are similar, although the female can be separated at close range by its red-brown eye (darker brown in the male). Sulphur-crested Cockatoos are found in a variety of timbered habitats and are common around human settlements. The birds stay in the same area all year round.
