On November 25, 2005, a time capsule was buried at Vision Australia's head office in Kooyong. As part of the contents, these interviews were put on CD and placed inside the capsule. The capsule is designated to be opened in 2066, to celebrate 200 years of providing services to people who are blind or vision impaired. Advertisement for Freemans Staff Dance at the 'new' St Kilda Town Hall on 4 September 1940 with proceeds going to the St Kilda Patriotic Society. The St Kilda Town Hall opened in 1890 in incomplete form, comprising only the hall, the front wing and Carlisle Street wings. In 1925 the portico and elaborate internal stair-hall were added. The five men who were staff officers of the Victorian Volunteer Force were Captain Snee, Major Pitt, Colonel Anderson, Captain Payne and Captain Burton. The Victorian Volunteer Force was the main defence force in Victoria after the withdrawal the Imperial Troops in 1870. IN that same year a Permanent Artillery Corps ( Victorian Artillery) was also formed. The Volunteer force was disbanded in 1884 and replaced by the Victorian Militia force. Series consists of a large collection (over 1150) of negatives of scenes, activities and staff of the Shire of Eltham. Many of the films were taken for publicity purposes and necessarily cover a broad range of topics. Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (VIOSH) Australia is the Asia-Pacific centre for teaching and research in occupational health and safety (OHS) and is known as one of Australia's leaders on the field. VIOSH has a global reputation for its innovative approach within the field of OHS management. VIOSH had its first intake of students in 1979. At that time the Institution was known as the Ballarat College of Advanced Education. In 1990 it became known as Ballarat University College, then in 1994 as University of Ballarat. Block of 50 tickets - black ink on dark grey card, SEC Provincial tramways, Staff (employee) ticket, lettered Aa 002900 to Aa 002949, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways. The 50 tickets have been stapled within red card covers with a heavy metal staple and perforated 21mm from left hand edge. The ticket number is in black ink. The ticket could only be used by SEC employees on Commission business, was not transferable and only good for a single trip. Has form number "TYE 2-19". Accompanying sheet reads, " 'Post 35' shows the scene from the foot bridge. The signalman is giving the staff to the driver of a dog box suburban train, from Bayswater because there is a train probably on arrival Croydon on the Croydon line. The right hand arm of the bracket is off for Bayswater. Post 35 at that time was a prefab structure which replaced the signal posts knocked down on 22/6/1945. The red brick building bottom right corner is the relay room which included devices which would probably have prevented the June 1945 accident".

This is a set of 14 photographs of a visit to the Army Survey Regiment, Fortuna, Bendigo on the 5th of June 1979 by the Chief of the General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Sir Donald Dunstan AC, KBE, CB. He was accompanied by his wife. They were escorted through the production areas of the Army Survey Regiment by the CO LTCOL Bob Skitch. Lieutenant General Sir Donald Dunstan AC, KBE, CB was an esteemed Australian Army officer, who was CGS from 1977 to 1982. Upon retirement from the Army in 1982, he was appointed to the position of Governor of South Australia from 1982 to 1991. LTCOL Bob Skitch was the CO of the Army Svy Rgt from 1976 to 1980. Also featuring in these photos is MAJ Peter Eddy, who was the OC of Air Survey Squadron. He was later promoted to LTCOL and was CO of the Army Svy Rgt from 1981 to 1982. Date is approximate; early Empire Day celebrations were held in May each year between 1906 and 1911 to commemorate Queen Victoria's birthday. Headmaster, George Bennett was later headmaster at Balwyn State School, which his son Gordon (later General Gordon Bennett) attended. Miss Amy Wise was a teacher at Surrey Hills State School for her entire career. (There is information in filing cabinet re Amy Wise). Note (undated) from John Reaburn states that an issue of SHNN claimed Major General Bennett was a pupil at SHPS. He stated: "I very much doubt this, as he was 19 years of age when his father was headmaster in 1906. Before that the whole family attended Balwyn State School. The statement should be substantiated or corrected".Black and white photo copied from a postcard of staff and students assembled outside Surrey Hills Primary School for Empire Day celebrations. Some children carry Union Jack flags. The cadet corps of the school stands in line on the path against the picket fence of the school carrying drums and 'rifles'. The male students are assembled in line at the edge of the road and the female students are assembled in the middle of the road. There are a number of adults in the background, presumably teachers and parents; two are identified. Centre is headmaster, Mr George Bennett and at the right is teacher, Miss Amy Wise. The photo is taken in Beatrice Avenue looking towards Canterbury Road.
