Legatee Donovan Joynt at the opening of the Puckapunyal Sportsman's club that was named after him. The notes, dated March 1983, could have been for a newspaper article. "IT'S A HELPING HAND... for one of Australia's most distinguished soldiers outside his own memorial at Puckapunyal. Sapper Mark Drummond of Seymour, a member of 21st Construction Squadron, which built the Memorial, holds an umbrella and commander 3rd Military District, Brigadier Geoff Cohen of Canterbury, wheels Lieutenant Colonel Donovan Joynt VC to lunch. Lt Col Joynt, 94, donated more than half the cost of the $130,000 Donovan Joynt VC Memorial Sportsman's Club in the background. The building had just been officially opened by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sir Phillip Bennett of Canberra." Newspaper report of the death of Edgar Edwards Walker, aged 74, at his home in Mitcham, Victoria. (Newspaper name/date unknown).Mr Walker was governing director of the Australian Tesselated Tile Co. Pty. Ltd., Mitcham ... a company he founded 49 years ago. He was a member of the Nunawading Shire Council for 25 years, and was several times president. He took a keen interest in local affairs and was a trustee of the Mitcham Methodist Church and Memorial Hall. His funeral took place at Box Hill cemetery (December 1936). -

All tickets numbered for accounting purposes.Yields information about the VR Ticketting System for its Tramways and motor coach services.Set of 7 Victorian Railways Sandringham to Beumaris Motor Coach ticket blocks. Printed on white sheets, stapled at the top with a large staple onto a cardboard backing strip. Each value in green ink with black print information. Each block has the ticket number printed on the stub of the ticket that remained with the block when torn off. Broken up in Belfast Ireland 1927. Capt Baxter when 2nd Mate to become 2nd Mate of the barque "Shandon" about 1918. Photo presented to H F Watson for S.S.V by Capt F.K.
