Yields information about the loading and departure of Ballarat No. 25 to Bendigo in 1960.Reproduction of illustration of Ballarat No. 25 leaving the Wendouree Parade depot for Bendigo on 6/10/1960. As printed in Newsrail, April 1984 issue on page 111. Photo shows Yellow Express Mack prime mover GPU 328 with Ballarat Tram No. 25 loaded and leaving the depot. Tram has destination box removed. Also the process of fitting the dash canopy lighting had commenced, with the small white stripe painted under the windows. Also would appear trolley pole base has been removed. Photo taken 28/6/1966, published 29/6/1966. Has Frampton's Milk bar in the left hand side of the photo with a Peters ad, workers recovering bottles. Note the milk in the grooves of the track. Would appear tram was inbound with destination of Gardens via Drummond St. Nth, member of the crew reversing the tram to assist in the clean up, with an inspector at the far end. Demonstrates nature and size of gang undertaking road repairs during 1962 in Sturt St with the Jelbart Oil roller being used.Black and White copy photograph of a newspaper photograph taken by The Courier, taken 25/8/1966, published 26/8/1966. Track work using the Jelbart oil roller, Sturt & Lydiard Sts corner. Shows the nature of the work, but difficult to identify people and the traffic in the streets at the time. Has the National Mutual building and Town Hall in the background. Collected by Alan Bradley from the Ballarat Courier early 1980's. Eight men working in the view. In the background are the buildings on the south side of Bridge St, including Magnin, a Disposal Variety store, Faull's Foot rest, and Dickins. Shows people sitting at the tram stop waiting for trams. 3745.2 - a close up view of the same image. Tram has the destination of Gardens via Drummond Nth.
