Minolta Pocket Autopak Camera with a Pocket Flash 110 attached and cover.Three pieces in total. It was made 1978 with a 26mm (f3.5) zone focusing (1.6 feet to infinity) lens. Electronic shutter with speeds of 2 seconds - 1/1000. CDS meter provides programmed exposure control. Hot shoe. Tripod and cable release sockets. Built-in close-up lens and detachable flash. Viewfinder shows a red warning LED if a flash is needed. With the f:3.5 lens, a flash with a guide number of only 40 (in feet, at ISO 100) will be good to over 20 feet with ISO 400 film. The camera senses when a flash unit is mounted, and automatically sets smaller apertures for focus distances of 12' or less, to prevent . overexposure, assuming a fixed-output flash with a guide number of 40. Built-in sliding lens cover locks shutter. This is the most compact of the high-quality Minolta 110 pocket cameras (handy, very small pocket size, overall 1 x 2 1/8 x 4 5/8'), it is truly a dress-shirt-pocket camera, not just a coat-pocket camera. 100 or 400 speed film. The Jot a Dot Pocket Brailler is a portable, manual Braille writer designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This small, lightweight brailler has six keys for Braille entry. The keys have high contrast colors for identification by users with low vision. Braille is written from the left hand side of the page to the right, with 20 cells of braille per line. The user can read Braille as it is written by turning the unit over. A built-in reading stand keeps the unit stable when resting on hard surfaces. Tactile line and cell indicators show the current location on the page. The line indicator shows which line is being Brailled, and the cell indicator shows the position of the embossing head on the line. By turning the device over, the user can read the Braille as they write it. This Brailler uses standard photocopy paper in A5 and A6 paper sizes. Vera Scantlebury Brown was born in Linton in 1889, a daughter of Dr George Scantlebury and his wife Catherine, née Baynes. Vera undertook medical training at Melbourne University between 1907 and 1913. After serving in the British Army Medical Unit during World War I, she worked in various positions in Melbourne hospitals and then studied in the US and Canada. In 1926 she was appointed Director of Infant Welfare by the recently established Victorian Department of Health, and became responsible for the development of maternal, infant and pre-school services in Victoria. In 2023 a statue of Vera Scantlebury was erected in Linton's Avenue of Honour in Denison Street. This copy of the book appears to have been owned/used by Barbara Safstrom of Linton.Textbook for nursing students and other health professionals. First compiled by Dr Vera Scantlebury Brown, and published as a "Guide to Infant Feeding". Book revised (with Kate Campbell) in 1941, 1951 and 1958.
