The tram is possibly parked near the Shrine as it is at Stop 19 which is the usual stop on St Kilda Road for visiting the Shrine. Ephemera - Ultimate 10c ticket, 1980s
This type of ticket was issued by "safety zone sellers" at the busy city stops to relieve the work on tram conductors. The tram conductor would punch the ticket to cancel it. Has the issuer "MMTB" printed on the ticket and ticket number 65080, ABJ series. Issued using Ultimate ticket machines. Sixteen page, A4, full colour, printed on gloss paper, centre stapled pamphlet, titled "Light Rail Transit Link", describing the proposal for the conversion of the St Kilda and Port Melbourne rail lines to light rail. Dated May 1987. Has a foreword by the Minister, Tom Roper, explains the system, shows high platform stops using the Hanover example, ability to couple tramcars, development of the project, an April 1987 review of the project, transport of people with disabilities, journey times, costs and saving and two page map of the system, showing a possible extension to Glenhuntly Road. Has the Victoria Transport logo on the front of the document and the Met contact and logo on the rear. Destination roll - white lettering on black background. Destination roll used at the MMTB Footscray depot. Has stencil words "STOP" on bottom, stencilled miniature destinations on rear to assist drivers to locate the destination. Roll has a short unpainted section at the bottom. Destinations in order from top are: ; RUSSELL ST; BALLARAT RD; SPECIAL; FOOTBALL GROUND; AMMUNITION FACTORY; PYROTECHNIC FACTORY; CITY VIA HAYMARKET; SPECIAL E. The roll is missing a top section, possibly (based on a Footscray roll held in the BTM Archives), DEPOT; WILLIAMSTOWN RD; RAILWAY STATION. SPECIAL E - thought to be for the Explosives Factory. Through running to City from May 1954 when track extended and connected to main system. Photocopy of a Newspaper Clipping - from a Melbourne newspaper titled "Police Guard on Last Tram" about the last cable tram to North Carlton. Police were employed to stop the practice of souveniring which was common on such trips. Notes what was taken. Conductor Mr. Albert Rahilly, Gripman - Mr. Ernest Fitts.
