On returning from overseas war service, he was employed by Warrnambool City Council as a gas meter reader. He was later promoted to office staff. He died in 1947.A common item which is linked to a Warrnambool business and person. Four small silver metal buttons with recessed shank. Embossed on front surface with lettering.
