The Northern District School of Nursing opened in 1950 in to address the issues around nurse recruitment, training and education that had previously been hospital based. The residential school was to provide theoretical and in-house education and practical training over three years. The students would also receive practical hands-on training in the wards of associated hospitals. The Northern District School of Nursing operated from Lister House, Rowan Street, Bendigo. It was the first independent school of nursing in Victoria and continued until it closed in 1989. The book "The First of its Kind" was published in 2015. Printed in Bendigo by "Bendigo Modern Press". Set of three documents that were prepared to explore the concept of reusing the Royal Exhibition buildings and providing a Vintage tram route between them and the City. The first, an extensive report by The Met is an Addendum to the Fitzroy Feasibility Study of August 1986. The second is a document titled "1888 Street: A proposal for a Museum of Victorian Home and Street Life by Charles Sowerwine, University of Melbourne, and a handwritten note about the possible tram service and its operation written by Doug Prosser commenting on the proposal. The tickets, known as "flimsies", have a value of 2 pence to 10 pence. Some tickets have been nipped, the remainder are unmarked. The tickets in Row 1 are not marked with complete identifiers, but a label attached notes that they could be printers' samples. In Row 3, an alphabetic identifier is used, followed by a six digit number. The tickets are printed on cream paper in a variety of colored inks. In Row 2, there is a small manila colored envelope with the printed words "THE ENGLISH SCOTTISH AND AUSTRALIAN BANK LIMITED" and "A Bank where service is a Tradition".
