Do Drop In was a general store and hall from 1937 until 1955. It also served as a bus terminal up until 1979. The shop, hall and vintage buses were destroyed by fire 4 May 1980. The original holiday house was still occupied until 1982. York on Lilydale now occupies the site of Do Drop In.'Do Drop In' was an important institution in Mt Evelyn for many decades. Medal was awarded to Bill Griffith as a member of Essendon's 1901 premiership teamThe medal is a significant memento of Bill Griffith who played 185 games for Essendon from 1899 to 1913. He was an excellent fullback and sometime rover and captained the Club from 1907 to 1909. He was one of the best players in the 1901 premiership win and later 1911 and 1912 premierships.Circular gold 1901 premiership medal; VFL logo has been cut out in centre of circle leaving a thin border; small loop at top of medal has a metal ring through it and a royal blue ribbon (not original) has been passed through ring.Front has "Essendon F. Wingbergermoelen - Wingberger Mill Also a little tent beneath the name of the town, with refers to the camping holiday. Also a maker's mark on the pennant, a small triangle with the letters L, A & B within it. 4089.R2 - red edged pennant, showing the area around Vaals in Limburg province, the name is in large red letters. The scene shows the meeting point between the Netherlands, Germany & Belgium - "Drie Landen Punt" (Three Country Meeting Point) Also shows the height of the viewing point (193m), as well showing other features including: - Hotel Bellevue - Uitzichttoren - viewing tower - Panorama Aken - Panorama of Aachen, Germany - Spoorbrug-Moresnet - Railwaybridge-Moresnet in Belgium. Small makers mark. Black triangle, possible the same as that shown in the other pennant, though obscured.
