Black & white photo ex Postcard? titled 'Where two roads meet', showing a horse tram ( Hawthorn Bridge to Auburn Road (Riversdale Road) and Prahran and Malvern No. 36 on Glenferrie Road with Deepdene destination, at the intersection of Riversdale & Glenferrie Roads, Hawthorn. Corner block (SE) behind photo has a 'For Sale' sign on it, with houses in background. Now a block of shops. Tram No. 36 is an F class car, later renumbered - see p14 of Destination City, 4th edition. See also inscriptions. Two copies - made out to Edward Bernard O'Day and Richard Charles Wayman. Witnessed by H Heath for the PMTT. Tenderers were Duncan and Fraser, Meadowbank who also offered Sydney cars as a special offer, Noyes Bros and Pengelley & Co. The contract was let to Duncan and Fraser. Prahran & Malvern Tramway Trust (PMTT)... estimates" Document Alex Cameron Prahran & Malvern Tramway Trust ...Typed report by Mr Alex Cameron of the PMTT titled "Chairman giving a comparison between Original and Revised estimate of Noyes Bros in regard to proposed tramways" Orginal Estimate dated May 1906, revised June 1907. One of the principal savings was the purchase of power from the Electric Traction and Lighting Co instead of building their own Power Station. Pamphlet advertising the sale of land at the "Camberwell Panorama Estate" - Doncaster and Bulleen Road 13-10-1923. Gives terms of sale, photos showing the views and a nearby shopping centre. Has a large photo of MMTB No. 20 on the front cover. The tramcar is of the Hawthorn Tramways Trust four-door bogie type. MMTB No 20 was an ex-Prahran and Malvern single trucker or small tram A class. Gives details of the 110 lots to be sold, terms, location, and that the tram was proposed to be extended to the corner. This extension took place in 1937. The locality plan shows proposed plans for tram lines in Belmore Road and Burke Road north of Whitehorse Road.
