Pamphlet, folded sheet with a tear off comments section, manila colour card, printed in blue ink, titled "Z3 Tram - Souvenir of the Introduction of New Series Trams to Melbourne", for the launch of the Z 3 class tram. Has a sketch of Z 3 116. Provides a list or details of the changes to the tram from the Z 1 Z 2 types. Tear off section could be handed to the conductor. Published by the MMTB for the launch of the tram on 25 and 26 September 1979. Second copy added 22/7/2016. Third copy from John Prideaux added 18/6/2017. Set of three documents concerning the MMTB Gratuity or Pension payout scheme. .1 Top half of an A4 photocopied sheet, with a tear off slip, titled "To all employees who elected in 1955 to remain under the provisions of the "old" gratuity scheme", giving employees the option to transfer to the new scheme (see item .3), asking to return the slip by 5/9/1981. .2 - Letter, stencil cut duplicated on quarto paper on MMTB letterhead, dated 9/5/1955, advising Ron Wearne of 31 Soudan Street Malvern that he has elected to remain in the present or "old" Retiring and Death Gratuity Scheme. Typed on Loadable Parchment watermarked paper. Signed in ink by H. A. Warner Secretary. .3 - Printed document on semi gloss paper titled "Notice to Employees Retiring and Death Gratuities" setting out the comparison in payments between the old and the new schemes that was to come into effect on 1/6/1955. Has a comparison of the scales on the rear of the Notice. Dated 31/3/1955 and printed Signed by H. A. Warner Secretary. Booklet - 16 pages centre stapled with in a purple red stippled cover outlining the "Malvern Electric Tramways Club - Rules and Constitution", dated 27/2/1941. Note on page 3, that the club was to consist and limited MMTB male employees. One its aims was to promote and maintain a sick, accident and funeral fund. Rule 42 has been amended by a paste over section over the rule itself and rule 50 amended by another paste in section on the inside of the rear page. .1 - Second copy - undated with different cover, but similar rules, no amendments, issue to "Bounds E. Book consists of four sections, bound with sewn cloth binding on the outside with glued white paper end covers. Details the various section stages and fares for each tram and bus route, General instructions, concession fares and has photos or drawings of the various special tickets, eg passes or prepaid tickets. Printed by Regent Press Pty Ltd, 457 Plenty Road, Preston. Provides in a Q & A format, instructions to drivers in electric car operation, photos of various types of controllers, an A.B.C. for tramways drivers - "always" points to remember and has a reference index. Copy 1 - has telephone numbers of Training School and specific pointers re Regulations 106 and 107 and some of the Q&A have been circled in blue. This copy was imaged. The May 1974 instructions of "Tram car Braking on Greasy Rails", has adhesive tape remnants. Copy 2 - 1/5/1975 instructions loose inside the book. Copy 3 - added 29/5/2014 from the collection of R.
