In 1979, a series of photographs of significant gardens in Kew (Victoria) were taken during a tour by Peter Watts, Historic Gardens Coordinator of National Trust Victoria. These were later purchased to add to the collection. In the case of each photo the colour had badly degraded over time. Original colour (degraded) positive photograph of 'Inverkelty' (later Kiora, Baroona), 11 Redmond Street , Kew. The original attribution of the house as Red Bluff (or Yarra Bluff) owned by the Nott family is incorrect. Founded by Moritz Michaelis and Isaac Hallerstein in 1866. Isaac Hallenstein had previously been partnered with Hermann Buttner and they were travelling salesmen in the Goldfields. Eventually they bought Cleghorn's tannery in Melbourne but Buttner sold his part to Moritz, Isaac's uncle. The expanded the leather business until they had branches in most states and New Zealand and London. After WW1 and the deaths of the founders, the company moved into a variety of leather goods, including shoes, footballs and golf bags. Denis Gibbons (1937 – 2011) Trained with the Australian Army, before travelling to Vietnam in January 1966, Denis stayed with the 1st Australian Task Force in Nui Dat working as a photographer. For almost five years Gibbons toured with nine Australian infantry battalions, posting compelling war images from within many combat zones before being flown out in late November 1970 after sustaining injuries. A crew member of the APC Trooper George Cameron Wood souvenired this section of the antenna. Portrait of Edward Green. In the 1840s, Edward B. Green ran the mail service between Melbourne and Sydney and owned a parcel of land on the Plenty River. He engaged a surveyor to draw up plans and lay out a township on the slopes overlooking the river, and to mark out small farm holdings on the flats.
