... Anzac commemoration for students 1990 ...A Legacy ceremony at the Shrine of Remembrance in April 1990. One of the annual "Anzac Commemoration Ceremony for Students" events, usually held just prior to ANZAC Day. The ceremony provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain an appreciation of the Anzac spirit, the significance of the Shrine and the meaning of Anzac Day. This was the 59th Annual Ceremony more photos are at 01532. As well as photos of the ceremony and a fly past of four aircraft there are photos of three widows attending. The elderly lady in white on the left is Mrs Winifred Fotheringham who is also in 00579. ... Mrs Charlotte Anderson with younger students ...In 1878, Mrs Charlotte Anderson founded an private school for girls in her home at Bulleen Road, Kew (now 63 High Street South, Kew). She moved her school to ‘Edgecomb’, in Studley Park Road in 1882 and named it Ruyton. Charlotte Anderson retired in 1888, and sold her school to Miss Eliza Bromby. This image was used to illustrate The Ruytonian, June 1915, p2. The date of manufacture of the duplicate photograph is unknown.Black & white duplicate photograph of Mrs Charlotte Anderson with staff and a group of younger students from Ruyton Girls’ School, c.1885. The group is arranged in three rows of seated and standing individuals, and is located on a garden setting. The photograph was taken at ‘Edgecomb’, Studley Park Road, Kew which was the location of Ruyton from 1882-1888. VIOSH: Masters Students, January 1996, Graduation 1998 ...Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (VIOSH) Australia is the Asia-Pacific centre for teaching and research in occupational health and safety (OHS) and is known as one of Australia's leaders on the field. VIOSH has a global reputation for its innovative approach within the field of OHS management. VIOSH had its first intake of students in 1979. At that time the Institution was known as the Ballarat College of Advanced Education. In 1990 it became known as Ballarat University College, then in 1994 as University of Ballarat. It was 2014 that it became Federation University. VIOSH Australia students are safety managers, senior advisors and experienced OHS professionals. They come from all over Australia and industry. Students are taught active research and enquiry; rather than textbook learning and a one-size fits all approach. VIOSH accepts people into the Graduate Diploma of Occupational Hazard Management who have no undergraduate degree - on the basis of extensive work experience and knowledge. Students; "The Wizard of Oz", 1996. ...What was distinct about the Performing Arts Course at the University of Ballarat is it had students from a wide range of back grounds with an age range from 17 to 53 years. Students are keen to not only act but to write, design, direct, production manage, stage manage, design lighting and sound and create their own theatre. They also take responsibility for a large percentage of the decision making and administration. Artistic Director and Course Co-ordinator was Peter Tulloch. "The Wizard" is the first of a program of theatre works for this year. Programme includes an outline of the story, list of the cast, musical numbers, production staff and the list of school children playing M unchkins. They are divided into two groups.
