Alison Watson was the daughter of Peg and Harry Watson of Cromie Street Murtoa and would have been seven years old when this certificate was granted at the Murtoa Swimming Baths. The Baths were adjacent to Lake Marma and filled with water from the lake. There was a wooden pontoon in the centre of the pool which was removed for swimming competitions.
